Can you imagine what a cheesesteak in a fine dining restaurant would look like? What basically started out as a marketing scheme has actually gained popularity. Barclay Prime is a new gourmet steakhouse located in the Rittenhouse Square area of Philadelphia. Owner, Stephen Starr is an acclaimed restaurateur who currently has 13 restaurants in the Philadelphia area. Le Sandwich! Would you like to know what's in it? Executive Chef, Daniel Kremin has concocted this utterly sinful version of the cheesesteak for Barclay Prime Steakhouse.
It is a combination of beautifully cooked, tender Kobe beef, melted Taleggio cheese, shaved truffles, sauteed Foie Gras, caramelized onions, and shaved heirloom tomatoes. As if this were not enough, it is served on a homemade Brioche roll that is brushed with truffle butter and homemade mustard.
I don't know what anyone else would do, but it just sounds too darned good to not try. Rich ingredients, usually brings with it, rich flavors. |
